Can I Make Instant Pot Iced Tea in the Ninja Foodi?
Yes! In fact we have both the Instant Pot and Foodie Ninja and both work perfectly for brewing iced tea in a pressure cooker. The batch pictured here was cooked with the Ninja Foodi. I actually love cooking with both of these great tools the Ninja Foodi offers some additional features and makes some KILLER chicken wings too with the air fryer setting. Serve those wing up with an ice cold pitcher of our Strawberry or Peach Iced Tea!
Tips for Making the Best Instant Pot Iced Tea
- Use 5-6 Family sized Iced Tea Bags of your choosing, we recommend the Luzianne brand. It’s been a favorite here for years and is easy to find in the tea aisle at just about any grocer nationwide.
- Allow the IP to do a Natural Release for 5 minutes, then do Quick Release to depressurize fully. Remove the tea bags and then add sweetener if using.Â
- 10 minutes is the optimal steeping time for flavor and clarity of any Instant Pot Iced Tea.
- Use your favorite sweetener or no sweetener at all, we use organic honey because it’s our favorite way to sweeten tea. But sugar, raw sugar, and Stevia are all good choices too.
- Once you’ve added the sweetener (if using) add the remaining water and allow the tea to chill completely before adding the strawberry puree.

Chef’s Tip: You can run the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove the strawberry pulp. We like it extra fruity but there’s no wrong answer so make it your own!
How to Make Instant Pot Southern Sweet Tea
Add 3 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and tea bags to the Instant Pot insert. Place the cover and lock into position. Set the vent to sealing, then select manual, high pressure and set the timer to 5 minutes.
After the timer sounds, turn off the IP and allow the tea to steep for another 5 minutes. Then do a Quick Release, making sure the pot is fully depressurized and the red button has fallen. Open the Pot and carefully remove the tea bags.
Stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved, serve Instant Pot Southern Sweet Tea over an abundance of ice and a squirt of lemon if desired.
How to Make Instant Pot Lemon Iced Tea
Pour 3 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and tea bags to the Instant Pot insert, place the cover and lock into position. Set the vent to sealing, then select manual, high pressure and set the timer to 5 minutes.

Add 1 sliced lemon and allow the tea to sit for 15 minutes, then add the remaining 7 cups of water stir to combine, serve over ice and garnish with lemon.
How to Make Instant Pot Green Tea
To make Instant Pot Iced Green Tea, just exchange the black tea for your favorite green tea instead.
Can I Make Decaffeinated Tea in the Instant Pot?
Yes, absolutely! Use your favorite decaf tea to make the same refreshing teas here. You may need to experiment with the quantity of tea bags (if smaller) but you can always brew and then add a tea bag or more to achieve maximum flavor. Then chill and finish with your favorite fruit inspiration!

How to Make Instant Pot Raspberry Peach Iced Tea
Make tea the same as above, sweeten as desired.
Blend Raspberries and Peaches together in the food processor or blender. Run through a fine-mesh sieve if desired and incorporate into the tea once it’s fully chilled.
How to Make Stovetop Iced Tea
Don’t have an Instant Pot? WHY? Seriously get one, our IPs are the most used small appliance in the kitchen. But while you’re waiting for your IP to arrive you can easily make our Strawberry Iced Tea on the stovetop too!
Add the tea bags and baking soda to a heatproof pitcher and pour in 3 cups boiling water, allow the tea bags to steep for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes has passed, discard the tea bags and add the sweetener (if using) pour in remaining 7 cups water, and strawberry puree, mix to combine fully. Serve with plenty of ice and garnish as desired.
